Professional Qualifications Required

➢ Professional Accounting accreditation such as ACCA level 3 or equivalent ➢ 3 years accounting experience ➢ Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards ➢ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft applications ➢ Working knowledge of MYOB will be an asset• Fully vaccinated with a vaccine or combination of vaccines approved by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago as well as all recommended booster/additional shots recommended by the Ministry of Health.

Technical / Vocational Skills Required

Job Description

This position is for a highly motivated self-starter, who will provide accounting support to the Finance & Admin Manager and undertake various accounting tasks and assist with other Administrative duties that may arise.

Job Details / Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to the following;

Ø  Maintenance of accounting records and software

Ø  Preparation of Draft Accounts / Financials for the purpose of Management & Board meetings

Ø  Preparation of VAT Returns and Payments (Bi-Monthly)

Ø  Preparation of Quarterly Taxes and Payments

Ø  Follow-up on receivables and prepare receipts for all incoming payments from customers.

Ø  Preparation of various Accounting reports including daily sales report, revenue reports, commissions reports etc. on a monthly and / or yearly basis as and when required for Management, Sales, Directors and Board meetings

Ø  Assist Managing Director with data for budget preparation and to provide information when there are any price adjustments.

Ø  Prepare payment vouchers and cheques for CCL. Update payables file for review with FAM. 

Ø  Prepares Costing for shipments as and when required.

Ø  Prepare Bank Reconciliations.  

Ø  Perform various functions associated with MYOB including data entry, purchases journal, payment journal, sales journal, receipt journal etc.

Ø  Prepare Bank Deposits

Other Accounting duties as required.
