Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Five (5) CXC passes including Mathematics and English 1-3 years experience in mechanical operations Forklift certification/Training an asset Driver's License
Experience in Plastic Industry, specifically mould repairs. Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
Prepare and assemble moulds or parts Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication Measure and record data associated with operating equipment (oil level checks, chiller temperature) Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices or products when necessary Guarantee all mould changes are done in the stated time
A Process Technician must be on site with the machines while other technicians are away
Responsible for start-up and shut down of processing equipment
Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
Assist in the scheduled Prevenative Maintenance Plans
Test products or subassemblies daily for functionality or quality
Collect raw material/WIP/goods in correctly labeled barrels, Gaylords and bags and transfer them to designated areas.
