REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field. Experience in Export Sales in either Latin America or the Caribbean is an asset. Spanish language fluency – will be considered an asset. Excellent negotiation and networking ability. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to demonstrate creative thinking, researching and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and coordinate with diverse teams. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Customer Service Representative - Export will be working closely with the Export Regional Manager - initiating export sales in the Latin American and Caribbean regions. The incumbent will collaborate with the Export Regional Manager to promote and sell the company’s products in new viable territories that will ultimately increase revenue and the company’s export portfolio.
Analyze and research various markets on a regular basis to develop new and viable business opportunities.
Make contact with potential customers – introducing the company’s products.
Prepare reports based on market assessments and price surveys to ensure the company’s products have a competitive advantage in the respective market.
Act as a liaison between Production, Export, Shipping, Accounts and Purchasing personnel to ensure overall export operations remain effective.
Co-ordinate the preparation of export orders and accurate shipping documentation to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Follow up with customers for timely payments.
Handle customer’s inquiries, resolve issues, demonstrating attention to detail, flexibility and innovation in resolving problems.
Other duties as assigned by the Export Regional Manager and / or Executive Management.
