Professional Qualifications Required

 Five (5) O’ Level passes at CXC/GCE level inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.  Two (2) years experience in similar position.  Knowledge in QuickBooks will be an asset.  Any equivalent combination of training and experience.  Knowledge of inventory management.  Solid verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to follow written or verbal instructions.

Job Description

REPORTS TO : Managing Director - Administration SUPERVISES : Not Applicable LOCATION : Charlieville General: The Data / Inventory Clerk is responsible for the creation, monitoring and updating of all databases as it relates to the accounting function specifically inventory. Job also includes assisting with updating inventory movement, inventory balances and stock counts.

Job Details / Responsibilities

  • Update the inventory movement of all incoming and outgoing finished products on all source documents i.e. requisitions, delivery notes etc.
  • Enter all raw materials leaving the compound for distribution to various factories.
  • Conduct daily, weekly physical count on all mobile warehouses (sales trucks) and reconcile any discrepancies regarding shortages/overage.
  • Edit invoices ensuring all selling prices, undercharges, overcharges and credit notes are applied accurately.
  • Conduct quarterly physical counts on the main warehouse.
  • Ensure physical Inventory sheets are tallied and prepare all reports for valuation.
  • Ensure all source documents numbering are in sequence and are accounted for.
  • Maintains a filing system for all source documents.

  • Create new cash customers on the database.

  • Updates daily sales report which is filtered into the monthly sales report.

  • Ensure adherence to the organization’s safety policies, procedures and guidelines as per the organization’s Safety & Health Manual.

  • Follow all rules and regulations as stated by the company.

  • Perform other duties as required by any duly authorized personnel
