Professional Qualifications Required

Minimum of five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, customer service, administration, or a similar operational environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Valid driver's permit would be considered an advantage.

Technical / Vocational Skills Required

Job Description

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating daily collection schedules, dispatching drivers, supporting transportation logistics, and ensuring the efficient movement of recyclable materials across the collection network. The role liaises with customers, transport providers, entrepreneurs, and internal operations teams to coordinate collections, deliveries, and logistics activities. The incumbent maintains accurate operational records, prepares collection and recycling certificates, tracks completed and pending collections, supports logistics reporting, and assists in optimizing routing efficiency and operational productivity while providing excellent customer service.

Job Details / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily collections for participating companies and entrepreneurs.
  • Schedule collections based on operational priorities, warehouse capacity, and vehicle availability.
  • Dispatch daily work assignments to drivers and monitor collection progress.
  • Liaise with transport providers and resolve logistics issues.
  • Coordinate deliveries of cages, silos, entrepreneur packages, and glass collections.
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email and confirm collection appointments.
  • Prepare recycling and collection certificates.
  • Maintain accurate collection records, operational logs, and reporting documentation.
  • Track completed, pending, and missed collections.
  • Support logistics reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Identify opportunities to improve routing efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support for logistics and collection operations.
