Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 

• • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily
  • Dust and wipe down shelves, windows, exhaust and wall fans
  • Cleaning and maintaining outside of the building inclusive of hedges and plants
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow safety protocols and use proper protective equipment while performing cleaning tasks
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards identified during cleaning.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Must be available to work weekends when needed
  • Fills in for the Office Custodian as required

Requirements and skills

• • Proven working experience as a Cleaner
  • Good health and physical stamina, as the role involves manual labour
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Integrity
  • Prior cleaning experience (highly preferred)
  • A high standard for cleanliness
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning.
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Time-management skills
  • Good communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• • Work is performed in a warehouse environment that may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise.
  • The job may involve standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and odors is common.
  • Requires bending, lifting, and reaching to clean various areas.
