• At least 5 O-Levels including Mathematics and English. • Craftsman certificate • Experience in a similar environment will be an asset
Basic knowledge of facilities and building maintenance Ability to assist with preventative and corrective maintenance Basic skills in plumbing, painting, cleaning, and general repairs Familiarity with health, safety, and GMP standards Ability to use tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
To carry out all maintenance work as it relates to facilities maintenance. To assist the maintenance technicians and or maintenance supervisor in performing all maintenance duties as it relates to preventative, corrective and equipment expansion in all areas of manufacturing. Adhere to all general and maintenance GMPs as it pertains to the job description in accordance with FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 Food Safety Quality Management Systems.
1. To carry out the preventative maintenance program as it pertains to building and surroundings as detailed in the respective program inclusive of metal audits.
2. Responsible for general plumbing repairs on the compound.
3. Responsible for the cleaning and painting of all equipment and building facilities.
4. To assist with preventative and corrective maintenance work assigned to the maintenance technicians from the work orders.
5. To complete maintenance logs, reports and other records as required.
6. Assist with general repairs and/or servicing to buildings and surroundings.
7. Assist with emergency jobs as deemed necessary which may require additional working hours.
8. Assist maintenance supervisor/maintenance technician with equipment set up, functions as required including equipment and change parts in manufacturing.
9. Use personal protection and safety equipment as required.
10. Follows safe work procedures.
11. Knows and comply with all health and safety regulations.
12. Reports any injury, incident or illness immediately.
13. Ensure that good housekeeping is practiced at all times.
14. Complies with all Food Safety and Quality procedures in accordance with the Food Safety Quality Management System.
15. Any other job-related duties as assigned by management
