• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technician Diploma • Certification from MEET, MET, NESC, or a similar accredited institution • Minimum 2 years manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience • Forklift operation certification is an asset
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance tasks • Ability to work independently and within a team in fast-paced environments
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations at the company. This role supports continuous production by minimizing equipment downtime, performing preventative maintenance, and upholding the company’s standards for Service, Selection, and Quality.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime.
Inspect equipment, identify faults, and determine required repairs or parts replacement.
Perform equipment calibration, alignment, and basic adjustments where needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure all work is done in accordance with safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and company protocols.
Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery or equipment.
Support production teams during breakdowns to restore operations efficiently.
Keep tools, maintenance areas, and equipment organized and in good working condition.
Report major issues, safety hazards, or recurring faults to the supervisor promptly.
