Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire sales operation of the company across Trinidad and Tobago. This includes developing and executing strategies to grow market share in the printing, craft, and food packaging industries, strengthening customer relationships, and driving the success of the company's product lines. This is a hands-on role that requires consistent field presence to generate new business, secure leads, and build long-term relationships with customers nationwide.

Job Details / Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Develop, implement, and manage national sales strategies to achieve company targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities across customer segments.
  • Personally visit potential and existing clients to generate leads and close new business.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Lead initiatives to promote new product launches and expand regional coverage.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate the Sales teams to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Design route plans and territory assignments to ensure full market coverage and consistent client engagement.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Foster a positive and accountable sales culture aligned with the company's brand values.

3. Client Relations & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and trade partners.
  • Negotiate pricing, volume agreements, and promotional terms in line with company policy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Oversee trade promotions, product presentations, and client education sessions.

4. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track and analyze sales performance, territory results, and customer trends.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to management.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvement plans based on sales data and route performance.

5. Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure sales operations comply with the company's credit, collection, and inventory policies.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing to align supply, promotions, and brand communication.
  • Promote adherence to company standards for safety, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
