Qualifications & Experience: -Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. -2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment in a lab or manufacturing setting. (Experience in optical labs is a plus, but not required training will be provided.) -Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. -Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. -Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team. -Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. -Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized optical manufacturing technologies and processes.
These are the hands-on, job-specific abilities needed for equipment handling and problem-solving: -Mechanical Troubleshooting Diagnosing and repairing moving parts, gears, motors, etc. -Electrical Systems Knowledge Understanding circuits, wiring diagrams, and control systems. -Preventive Maintenance Performing regular checks, lubrication, and part replacements to prevent failures. -Calibration Skills Accurately adjusting instruments and machines to meet exact specifications. -Equipment Installation & Setup Safely installing new machinery, ensuring proper alignment, configuration, and testing. Technical Drawing Interpretation Reading blueprints, schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation. -Software Diagnostics Using software tools or interfaces for error detection or machine configuration. -Lab Equipment Familiarity (Can be trained) Lens polishing machines Coating systems Alignment and inspection tools
