Job Description

• Direct and coordinate the operations of the purchasing department to ensure they align with appropriate standards and strategic goals of the company. • Build and maintain positive trust relationships with key suppliers and vendors • Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and policies for procurement, as well as departmental objectives. • Expedite purchase orders and ensure suppliers deliver requested items within set time constraint • Continuously compare product prices and service quality to ensure the company gets the best deals on purchased products/services • Maintain accurate records of relevant purchase document for reference purposes • Carry out market analysis to determine future product/material availability

Job Details / Responsibilities

The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, services and managing vendors/ suppliers and must perform strategic procurement activities. Managing stock requirements in line with budgets & seasonal demands, the vendor bid process, negotiating competitive prices, in addition to planning, co-ordination, and timely communication are mandatory.
