Professional Qualifications Required

Technical / Vocational Skills Required

Skill/Experience: • 3 years manufacturing experience • PLC and automation systems experience • Excellent critical thinking, operations analysis and complex problem-solving skills. • Strong communication written and oral skills • Strong computer literacy Personal attributes: • Willing to work extended hours and weekends as required • Capable of working on a shift basis • Must adhere to and enforce all safety rules and good manufacturing practices of the Company during the performance of his/her duties

Job Description

Responsible for carrying out corrective, preventative, predictive and periodic maintenance on mechanical electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, in order to minimize down time and maximize the production capacity; managing the operations of Utilities equipment and acid mixing plant.

Job Details / Responsibilities

Accountabilities:
• Perform corrective, preventative, predictive and periodic maintenance including lubrication on the Company’s facility, machinery and all other related equipment.
• Provides continuous technical support to production operations.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical plant and equipment problems.
• Manage operations of all Utilities equipment (electrical supply, backup generator, air compressor, water treatment, water storage etc) and acid mixing plant. 
• Sets up equipment, test apparatus, test equipment, and related equipment.
• Calibrate process control equipment in accordance with approved specifications and maintain required records.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical plant and equipment problems
• Devises, fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
• Align equipment in accordance with approved specifications and maintain required records.
• Prepare maintenance reports and records in accordance with approved company procedures and practices.
• Analyse equipment failures to determine root cause and corrective actions. Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA).
• Participate in continuous improvement projects of plant and equipment.
• Provide assistance to production operations in times of short staff of peaks in production.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in work place
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
