Job Description

The Operations Supervisor in a manufacturing plant oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the production floor. This role ensures efficient and effective manufacturing processes, maintains high standards of safety and quality, and strives for continuous improvement in all areas of production. The Operations Supervisor leads a team of production workers, manages resources, and collaborates with other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.

Job Details / Responsibilities

- Supervise and oversee a team of 10 to 15 employees
- Monitor and maintain all machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve technical problems within the assigned departments. foam and fabrication processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Allocate and manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, efficiently.
- Plan and manage technical projects within the departments.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the production team.
- Train team members on equipment usage, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, equipment performance, and technical activities.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and meet production goals.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures and train staff accordingly.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and spare parts required for department machine and equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations of team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget constraints.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve processes and product offerings.
