·       Obtains orders/schedule and instructions from Production Supervisor before start of production shift.

·       Set-Up machine as per orders/schedule.

·       Always ensures that the machine has material and other inputs before operating. Any shortfalls are            reported to the Supervisor.

·       Start-up & Operates equipment/machines.

·       Reports to the Production Supervisor any operational issues with the machine.

·       Inspect and ensure the finished products obtained from the machines are of the quality standards of the company, i.e. free of defects which may deem the product substandard.

·       Reports to the Production Supervisor and Quality Technician any defects observed with raw material and/or finished product.

·       Make minor adjustments to machine to ensure product conformance.

·       Places correct units in bags, trays or rolls as stipulated by the packing instructions.

·       Removes waste or excess material from in and around the machine.

·       Ensures that all contaminated or rejected material are bagged, properly labelled and weigh for recycle. Document quantity of waste and remove to the designated area.

·       Maintains a report of the total amount of finished product manufactured on the machine per shift.
