Job Description

To provide administrative and technical support in the development, establishment, documentation, and implementation of the Food Safety Management System in keeping with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Job Details / Responsibilities

1.         To coordinate the development, documentation, and implementation of the Quality Manual, in keeping with the established Food Safety Management System requirements.

2.         To prepare, maintain and communicate relevant documents throughout the company in keeping with the established Food Safety Management System requirements.

3.         To provide technical support for the maintenance of Quality Assurance systems, controls, standards, and specifications consistent with established local, regional, and international requirements.

4.   To provide support with the implementation and monitoring of the application of GMP’s, hygiene cleaning and sanitation procedures and systems to ensure compliance with established standards.

5.    To assist in the planning, preparation and conduct of Internal Audits as per the audit schedule.

6.   To coordinate and evaluate periodically the Quality Manual to ensure the system reflects the company’s activities and incorporates the latest and most current information on the food safety hazards.

7.       To assist with relevant governmental and regulatory authorities and customers to ensure compliance to relevant standards and requirements.

8.  To develop and maintain effective record management systems for the Quality Manual / Food Safety Management System.

9.   To provide support in the investigation of customer complaints related to product quality and safety, recommend, and implement corrective actions

10.       To assist in the planning, investigation, analysis, research, and development of new processes and / or new products

11.   To recommend systems, controls, and modifications to correct any discrepancies or anomalies and consult with other departments to facilitate required changes

12.   To assist in the conduct of training programmes to increase awareness of product quality and food safety issues throughout the company.

13.     Perform other related duties as may be require by job function.
