• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent), or actively pursuing one, is strongly preferred. • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role. • Proven experience preparing management accounts and full-cycle financial statements.
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, financial modelling, and data analysis. • PowerPoint: ability to turn complex financial data into clear charts, summaries, and presentations for non-finance audiences. • Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and double-entry principles. • Experience with cash flow forecasting and treasury management. • Familiarity with ACH, wire transfers, and online banking platforms. • Sound understanding of tax legislation and compliance requirements. • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or an ERP system) is an advantage. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently. • High level of integrity and discretion with confidential financial information.
General Ledger and Bookkeeping • Maintain the general ledger, making sure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time. • Post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjusting entries. • Perform monthly bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations. • Maintain the chart of accounts and keep supporting documentation organized. Cash Flow Management • Monitor daily cash positions and prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports. • Forecast short- and medium-term cash requirements and flag potential shortfalls early. • Manage payment schedules to balance supplier obligations with available liquidity. Payments and Banking • Process ACH payments, wire transfers, and other bank transfers accurately and securely. • Verify payment approvals and supporting documentation before release. • Serve as a point of contact with banks on transactions, discrepancies, and account matters. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis, reporting to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for general ledger management, bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring and forecasting, payment processing, management accounts, budgeting, financial projections, tax compliance, and supporting year-end audits. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, at least 3 years’ accounting experience, and strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with accounting software and progress toward a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA would be an asset. Salary Range: TT$7.5k to 8.5k per month.
