Job Description

The Warehouse Battery Technician is essential for preparing and ensuring the quality of batteries before they are sold. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, Batteries, this role involves testing battery charge levels, handling batteries' preparation and maintenance, and managing inventory and documentation. The Warehouse Battery Technician also assists in loading and claims processing, adhering to safety standards and company procedures. This position is crucial in maintaining the high-quality and reliability of the company’s battery products, ensuring they meet customer and operational standards.

Job Details / Responsibilities

  • Ensure that you are properly attired and wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report to your assigned department and supervisor 15 minutes before operating hours to ensure that you are at your station at the start of the day.
  • Conduct battery failure analysis and where appropriate perform battery warranty settlement in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in the checking and offloading of batteries received from supplier or inter-branch delivery and pack into the designated warehouse.
  • Prepare new batteries for sale by inspecting, cleaning, and engraving the assigned serial numbers.
  • Load and offload delivery vans with batteries and other inventory items.
  • Enter orders on and print invoices from our Accounting and Inventory system.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working environment and ensure that at the end of the day the department is ready for the next days work.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report any issue that may affect your performance or the performance of the department to your supervisor or senior authority.
  • Any other task which your Supervisor or the Departmental Manager may assign to you from time to time in order to discharge the purpose of the job.
