Job Description

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales team to ensure sales targets are achieved and customer satisfaction is maintained. The role involves supervising sales staff on trade, monitoring performance, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring efficient sales processes and excellent customer service.

Job Details / Responsibilities

 

1. Sales Team Supervision

  • Supervise and guide the sales team to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
  • Monitor daily sales activities and ensure productivity and effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to sales representatives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and goals.

2. Sales Performance Management

  • Track and analyze sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement improvement strategies.
  • Ensure the team meets revenue and profitability targets.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Address escalated customer complaints or issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients- head office visits, listings, promotions, business and key account reviews.

4. Sales Strategy Implementation

  • Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist in developing new sales initiatives and market opportunities.
  • Responsible for the achievement of distribution targets
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

5. Operational Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with marketing, finance, and operations departments.
  • Ensure collections process, payments, credits and returns are monitored and followed by process.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and customer data.

6. Inventory and Product Management (if applicable)

  • Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability.
  • Coordinate with inventory or warehouse teams.
  • Ensure proper product display and merchandising.

 

Working Conditions

  • 80% Trade 20% Office
  • May require working weekends or extended hours to meet sales targets.
