Professional Qualifications Required

• BSc Degree in Engineering, Management Experience in Microbiological techniques would be an asset. • NEC Science Technician Diploma or higher certification. • Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in the food or related industry • Working knowledge of ISO 22000 & ISO 18000, as it would apply to the food industry would be an asset. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal competencies, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. • Work experience in a computerized operations environment

Job Description

• Coordinate the research and development of new products as necessary. • To liaise and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with government and international requirements. • To ensure that Production, Sales and Marketing departments are aware of the importance of meeting customer requirements. • Develop and conduct training programmes for staff to ensure compliance with both local and international standards for food manufacture. • Develop, appraise and monitor the utilization of relevant subordinate personnel so as to create and maintain effective levels of departmental productivity. • Investigate all customer complaints related to product quality and safety, recommend corrective actions and conduct related employee awareness training sessions. • Manage and maintain all laboratory equipment, reagents and stock solutions in accordance with approved procedures. • Conduct field audits, including inspection of warehouses and other facilities and evaluations of damaged and ret

Job Details / Responsibilities

 Coordinate the research and development of new products as necessary.
