Professional Qualifications Required

· Five (5) Ordinary level/CXC subjects including Mathematics and English. · Formal Supervisory training would be an asset. · At least five (5) years’ experience in Process Blow Molding. · Two (2) years’ experience in a similar supervisory position.

Job Description

· Plans, organizes, oversees and performs scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work on all equipment, facilities and systems within the factory; monitors and implement corrective action as required. · Develops schedules and determines sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. · Reviews the operations of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. · Inspects and monitors work areas, examine tools, equipment, facilities and systems to ensure a safe work environment. · Conducts or arranges for worker training in repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. · Compiles operational or personnel records, including but not limited to, time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance, or test results.

Job Details / Responsibilities

Maintenance Supervisors work in a factory wherein large productions of goods are produced. The factory has no air conditioning and may be hot, humid and dusty. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. Hazards such as stock stacked well overhead and machinery malfunctions may exist.

 

The Maintenance Supervisor must be willing to work on a shift system and on weekends as well as holidays. Working overtime is very common especially during periods of high and heavy production or non-arrival of the next shift. Maintenance workers are always on call for emergency repair work.
