Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a combination of equivalent qualifications and experience. · 3-5 years of experience in a similar production and/or quality management role. · Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage production teams and meet quality standards and production targets. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. · Comprehensive understanding of quality control systems, manufacturing processes, and safety regulations. · Diploma in Quality Management is an asset · MBA in Business Management, Operations is an asset.

The Production and Quality Manager is accountable for overseeing both the manufacturing processes and quality assurance systems within the company. This dual-role position ensures the achievement of production targets while maintaining compliance with quality standards, and health and safety guidelines. The manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing strategies that promote continuous improvement in both production efficiency and product quality. The role involves collaboration with the sales department, vendors, management of production schedules, and ensuring optimal utilization of physical and human resources.
· Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive quality plan, including objectives, policies, procedures, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
· Plan, direct, and control manufacturing activities to align with strategic initiatives, ensuring production schedules meet customer requirements and product standards meet or exceed customer expectations.
· Define and manage quality standards across all manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with both national and international regulations and legislation.
· Develop and maintain cost-effective manufacturing processes by optimizing the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital resources.
· Review and manage contracted labour in accordance with national regulations and contractual requirements
· Create and revise systems and procedures to streamline production and improve operational practices, record-keeping, and quality control programs.
· Set and monitor health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health regulations; coordinate risk assessments, accident investigations, and corrective actions.
· Manage the quality inspection process for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods, ensuring proper testing and adherence to specifications.
· Develop production schedules, adjust as needed based on customer demands, and ensure the timely fulfillment of orders.
· Evaluate new equipment and techniques to maximize output and minimize costs, while ensuring the safety and well-being of staff.
· Prepare and maintain relevant management and financial reports related to both production and quality functions.
· Supervise and provide leadership to both production and quality assurance staff, conducting regular performance evaluations and fostering personal growth opportunities.
· Support the development of training programs for employees, focused on both technical skills and safety practices.
· Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for production and quality-related activities in collaboration with the finance department.
· Ensure a safe and clean working environment by directing employees in the proper use of equipment and safety procedures.
