Professional Qualifications Required

REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in sales, for roofing/construction. • Minimum of (5) CXC subjects Mathematics, English and Technical Drawing • A Diploma in business or equivalent will be an asset. • Excellent driving record. • Computer Literacy- strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Strong safety ethic • The ability to provide excellent customer service. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Develop commercial activities in accordance with the objectives set by the company

Technical / Vocational Skills Required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Knowledge of construction and building systems • Methodical approach, detail oriented, highly organized, and strong communication and time management skills. • Affinity for working from heights. • Creation of cutlist • Strong customer service skills in the areas of handling disputes and addressing customers. • Sales Forecasting Auto CAD will be an asset.

Job Description

The Sales and Service Technician is responsible for carrying out and performing site visits nationwide, in keeping with the industry and company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance and ensuring customer satisfaction. Work is carried out on construction site conditions and requires an affinity for working from heights.

Job Details / Responsibilities

1. Site Visit Assessment – carries out and performs site assessment based on the nature of the request. Upon completion, a report must be submitted highlighting the findings and recommendations.

2. Pulling measurements when conducting a site assessment and must be familiar with working safely from heights due to the nature of the job.

3. Preparing material takeoff/cut lists from site visits and drawings/house plans and providing comprehensive and accurate estimates.

4. Take accurate measurements, confirm all materials and designs and have them signed off, and check all materials and equipment are received, to start the job.

5. Observe all safety and security protocols while on site and ensure that both staff and subcontractors are practicing safe working habits.

6.  Provide quality customer service to customers and contractors.

7.  Assist with inspections – To perform daily or scheduled inspections to ensure that all workmanship and safety protocols are followed by the standard.
