The TTMA understands the challenges faced by the business community in relation to outstanding VAT Refunds. As such, we continue to lobby the Government and relevant authorities on a regular basis to prioritize the VAT refunds owed to the membership and make recommendations to alleviate the issue, such as the following:
- Removal of VAT on inputs to the manufacturing process
- Create a separate account for the collection of VAT revenues
- Expedited refunds for exporters
- VAT net off system
