Minister, RHA: No TB drug shortage
MINISTER of Health Terrence Deyalsingh has rubbished claims by patients suffering from tuberculosis that there is a shortage of medicine at hospitals to treat the communicable disease.
TB is a disease caused by bacteria which normally attack the lungs. It spreads through the air when a person with TB of the lungs or throat coughs, sneezes, or talks. Read more here…

Young: I persuade internat’l agencies TT Muslims are not terrorists
NATIONAL Security Minister Stuart Young has said that at international meetings he has to convince the agencies that local Muslims are not terrorists. He was contributing to debate on the Bail (Amendment) Bill in the Senate on Tuesday.

Chote turns down govt, says no to Bail Bill
The government has gotten a categorical ‘no’ from Independent Senator Sophia Chote SC as it attempts to pass amendments to the bail bill.
In the proposed amendment the government is asking the Senate to approve legislation which would deny bail to anyone found in possession of artillery or automatic firearms, grenade, bombs or other similar missiles for 120 days. Read more here…

Venice floods: Climate change behind highest tide in 50 years, says mayor
Severe flooding in Venice that has left much of the Italian city under water is a direct result of climate change, the mayor says. The highest water levels in the region in more than 50 years will leave "a permanent mark", Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro tweeted. "Now the government must listen," he added.
