Dog mauls six-month-old boy to death

The family of six-month-old baby Maleek Khan was in shock last night after he was mauled to death by the family dog at their home at Charlieville, Chaguanas.Speaking with the T&T Guardian yesterday, the baby’s grandfather, Neshard Khan, 53, said they still could not understand why the dog, Simba, a Rottweiler and German Shepherd mixed, would attack the baby boy. 8,400 jobs lost

OME 8,400 people lost their jobs in the third quarter (Q3) of last year (July to September) said the Labour Force Bulletin published yesterday by the Central Statistical Office (CSO).People were most likely to have lost their job if they were male construction workers or government clerks, but most likely to have got new jobs if they were female technicians in the energy sector, according to the report. Read more…
