POLICE were last night trying to identify the body of a young woman of Asian descent, clad in a bikini and beads mas costume, who was found under a large tree in the Queen’s Park Savannah yesterday morning, hours after Carnival celebrations ended. Mayor: Salvatori vendors must go

PORT-OF-SPAIN Mayor Raymond Tim Kee said that by this Sunday vendors at the Salvatori site must vacate their booths to give the site back to its owner, Udecott, speaking at a news briefing at City Hall yesterday. He said the POS City Corporation has supplied them with free lights and water at a peppercorn-rent (the latter which many vendors refuse to pay) and a $5,000 per month site manager. Read more…
