The TTMA Productivity committee is responsible for promoting methods which improve productivity amongst manufacturers. Initiatives developed under the Productivity Committee is given oversight by Past Presidents and Directors of the TTMA and administered by the Business Development Unit.
The main objective of this committee is to advance technology driven productivity, especially in the areas of ICT (digital 4.0), labour productivity and enhancement of manufacturing efficiencies. The committee recognizes the importance in exposing the membership to the digital world and best practices in business to build competencies. This will allow members to sustain and grow operations in the global environment.
Some key functional areas are:
- Capacity building with regards to productivity and other elements of the Digital 4.0 value drivers
- Introduction and exposure to Industry 4.0 for the manufacturing community in TT.
- Strategic alliances with Training institutions in TT.
- Creating bench-marks for manufacturing sector based on global 4.0 industry standards
